Good value, easy to use

Found a great deal on the Site Speed Audit and it worked exactly as expected. The results were clear and helped me identify areas for improvement. I do wish the interface was a little more modern looking, but it's effective.

solid image compression, easy to use

i needed a good image resizer for my site and EWWW has been working great. i usually compare it to TinyPNG and Smush and it holds its own. the free version is super helpful for trying it out before committing to a paid plan, which i appreciate. when i upgraded, the code went in no problem at checkout.

Smooth experience with Compress API

I signed up for the Compress API annual plan after looking at a few options. The setup was pretty simple, I just generated the key and plugged it into my custom script. The integration worked perfectly, and I started optimizing a backlog of images for a new project. I particularly liked the automatic WebP conversion; it saved me a lot of manual work. I had a quick question about the credit system, and support responded within a few hours, which was great. The lossless compression option kept image quality high, even with significant file size reductions. Delivery of the service is instant once purchased. It's a reliable solution for anyone needing bulk image optimization.

Improved site speed a lot

Dude, I got the EWWW Image Optimizer a few weeks back for my blog. My site was kinda sluggish, you know? After I put this plugin on, it totally sped things up. It converts images to WebP automatically, which is neat. It just works in the background, super easy. Definitely made a difference in how fast my pages load. Worth it.

Decent optimization, small issue

I purchased the Unlimited Image Compression plan for my client's site. The optimization itself was quite good, and I noticed a definite improvement in page load times, which was the main goal. It handled a large library of images without issue. However, I had a little trouble finding specific settings within the dashboard initially; it wasn't as intuitive as I hoped. Customer support was helpful when I reached out, but it took a day to get a response. Overall, it's a solid tool for the price, but the UI could be a bit cleaner.

I'm thinking about going with EWWW, but how does it compare to something like ShortPixel or Imagify? Is it better or just different?

R Ryan E. 1 month ago
I've used both EWWW and ShortPixel. EWWW tends to be more generous with free optimization, and I felt the results were pretty comparable. ShortPixel has good options too though.

They're all pretty similar in what they do. EWWW often has good pricing, especially if you catch a deal. It's mostly about personal preference and which interface you like.

Are there any discounts for agency plans? Or like, if I have multiple client sites I want to run through it?

J Jared Lindqvist 2 months ago
Yeah, they definitely have agency plans with special pricing. You'd probably need to contact them directly to get the specifics, but it's a thing.

I think I saw something about an 'agency plan promo' when I was looking around. They usually give discounts for more sites or bulk usage.

Can you actually get a free trial for EWWW, or is it just paid plans straight up?

D Dan Osei 2 months ago
They have a free version of the plugin on WordPress.org, which is limited but lets you try it out. I think they might offer trials for the paid API too sometimes, but not always.

There's a free plugin version you can use, it optimizes a good amount for free. That's how I tried it first before upgrading.

Does EWWW support all payment methods? Like, can I use PayPal or just credit cards?

M Mark C. 1 month ago
Pretty sure it's just credit cards directly. I haven't seen PayPal as an option when I paid for my plan.

I paid with a Visa card. Not sure about PayPal, but most online services these days are major credit cards.

Hey, thinking about getting EWWW for my WordPress site. Does it actually make a noticeable difference in load times, or is it just marginal gains?

R Renee Silva 1 month ago
Yeah, for sure. I noticed a pretty big jump, especially on pages with lots of images. It converts them to WebP and stuff, which helps a lot.

It really depends on your starting point. If your images are already super optimized, maybe less, but for most sites, it's a solid speed boost. Also depends on your hosting a bit too.
